2/3-cup sugar 1-cup butter (room temperature) 1-tsp vanilla 3-egg whites 2-cup sifted all-purpose flour 1/4-tsp salt
1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degree 2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy 3. Add to mixture, while beating vigorously, the vanilla and egg whites 4. Gently stir in the flour and salt until blended thoroughly 5. Prepare cookie sheet by using parchment paper for more even baking If parchment paper is not readily available and ungreased cookie sheet can be used. 6. Using a pastry tube or cookie press, push out small shapes, such as stars or rings onto cookies sheet. 7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown 8. Cool on cookie/cake racks for about 5 minutes, then store in air tight container.
